Celebrating women wasn’t just for International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day – oh no, esteemed readers: all this month, we’re championing female authors and literary characters with the launch of Women on the Page (*sounds trumpets*), an online festival celebrating amazing ladies from the well-known if not legendary likes of Jane Austen and Virginia Woolf to the newer-yet-noteable Emma Healy and Ali Smith (both nominated for the Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction). We’ve been talking about their wondrousness over on our blog,Facebook and Instagram and we’d love to hear your thoughts on the women that you think are great.
On that note, one woman we find rather charming is the marvellous Lucy Mangan aka our shiny new blog contributor.
